1. Be Organised

Before you embark on your studies, find out everything you need to know about the course – the schedule, how assessments work, deadlines for coursework and what support is available if you need help. Check any technical requirements and update the internet browsers on your computer or device.  Spend some time navigating the course layout and website so you can quickly access your studies.

Accounting Course Package

Certificate IV and Diploma of Accounting Course Packages

The difficult thing with wanting to study the Diploma of Accounting is that the certificate iv is a required prerequisite – where ever you study it. So if you don’t have the certificate iv it means months of extra study and added costs.

We help students mitigate this added time and cost by packaging the two courses together in a way that considerably reduces these headaches.

The way it works is simple – students can skip the elective units of the certificate iv while still gaining access to the diploma. On top of this students can then study the diploma with two elective units removed (credited from those studied as part of the certificate iv). Students still receive both qualifications upon successful completion.

The old jokes about creative arts and humanities graduates serving at the local fast food outlet are hard to put to rest – they speak to long-held concerns around the value of creative degrees, and to worries that students of creative arts programs aren’t employable when they graduate.

But soon-to-be released national graduate tracking research findings conducted by my research team at the Australian Research Council Centre of Excellence for Creative Industries and Innovation show that, while Australian creative arts graduates can take a while to settle in to their careers, their outcomes are actually very good.

But it seems likely the federal government’s new “earn or learn” social security policy will hinder the graduates’ attempts to launch into creative careers.

In a world of iPhones and drones, people are right to wonder why they are still working so hard. The past century saw huge technological advances and yet there hasn’t been a corresponding increase in leisure time: people are working as hard as ever.

The Easter break lasts for four days; couldn’t every weekend be like this?

Proponents of shorter work time have received two pieces of good news recently. One is the announcement of a new law in France to prevent employees being required to read work emails out of office hours. The other is the decision in Sweden to experiment with a six-hour work day for some public sector workers.
